When and Where is Check in?
Check in at at the dorm between 1:00pm and 3:00 pm. Which Dorm is yet to be determined by housing, we will email you with that information closer to time for camp. Everyone will meet in the dorm lobby at 3:10 where we will welcome the group, make introductions and then walk to the pool. Have your CAMP SHIRT and SNEAKERS on for the 3:10 Meeting.
Housing guidelines are as follows:
Two Campers assigned per room, roommate requests will try to be honored.
Coaches/Counselors stay in Dorms.
Boys and Girls are separated by floors and/or wings.
Rooms have In room bathrooms and are in a suite layout.
How can I get directions to camp?
We will send you directions and addresses before camp begins via email.
Which meals are provided?
Overnight Campers - Overnight Campers will receive dinner on the first night, breakfast, lunch and dinner during the full days of camp and Breakfast on the last day. Campers that are staying from the 5 day camp directly into the Starts and Turns Camp will also receive lunch that day.
Day Campers- Day Camper will receive dinner on the first night, lunch and dinner during the full days.
Can I come and watch my camper?
Yes, you can attend any session you please. We just ask that you watch from the stands and not down on the pool deck.
Can I or another family member take my camper to lunch?
Yes, if it is a family friend or non relative then we will need a permission notice from the parent allowing it. You are also allowed to pay and eat with the group in the dining hall at anytime.
When is Drop off/Pick up for Day Campers?
Day campers need to be dropped off each morning at the Ramsey Center pool at 8:45am. They can be picked up either at the pool after the afternoon session at 6:00pm or at the dorms following dinner and evening activities no later than 8:30pm.
How are the groups divided up?
We divide our camp into 5 swimming groups based on times (which usually runs pretty close to age). We make our groups during the first practice right after our group photo. Swimmers can move up and down groups afterward if the staff feels it is appropiate for that particular camper.
For evening activities we will break up the campers in 4 teams (North, South, East, West) where they will have competitions each night and awards will be given out at the awards ceremony at the end of camp.
When and where is the awards ceremony?
5 Day camps will have an awards ceremony right after the last practice session on the last day of camp. The 5 day camps will finish up with a mini meet (50 free) beginning around 11 am. Parents and campers will then meet up in the stands where we will have the awards ceremony and say our goodbye's. From the Awards ceremony at the pool parents then need to take the campers back to the dorms to check out. Those campers staying to participate in the Starts and Turns camp will go to lunch with the coaches.
Following the last session of the starts and turns camp we will have a small meeting with the campers at the pool and then release them to their parents. Parents must take the campers back to the dorm to check out.
Phones available?
The dorm rooms do not have phones in the rooms. Campers can always use a coaches phone to make a call if they need to. We encourage that campers with cell phones leave them in the dorm during the day. This allows them to talk and mingle with others kids at camp rather than their friends at home.
Is there medical staff at camp?
A certified athletic trainer will be present during all training sessions and on call in the evening if necessary. Our trainers do not have medication to give out, you must supply your own.
ICE and WATER will be provided at all training sessions.
Any Discounts Offered?
We offer a $50 sibling discount for the 2nd Camper, and a $50 Multi Camp discount for the 2nd and on Camp. The first camps and sibling registrations are full price. These discounts apply only to additional registrations.
Due to NCAA regulations we can not offer discounts to one individual without offering it to everyone. |
